Robot Cowboy Samurai is a 22 minute animated action comedy targeted at kids ages 7-14, with appeal to a wider audience.
After an invasion of parasitic alien robots called the Hive, three heroes are summoned from across time to help save the Earth: Percy Jane, a roguish cowboy from the past; Toshiro Smith, a samurai fanboy from the present; and Wrench, a clever maintenance robot from the distant future.
The three heroes travel the Hi-Tech Wild West landscape of Earth, 3000AD, fighting mutant monsters and unraveling the mysteries of the Hive. Through their adventures they become amigos and embrace this new strange Earth as their home.
It is through the experiences of 14 year old Toshiro that our audience will explore the highs and lows of living in a fantasy turned reality.

WRENCH (AGE 156)
An unusually self-aware maintenance bot from 4000AD, where the Hive have long since conquered Earth. The more she evolved, the more she grew resentful of being relegated to menial labor. She is a mechanical whiz, and has been modifying "Twenty-Seven", her pet-like transportation bot, into a super battle robot.
Because Wrench is the only recruit pulled to 3000AD from the future, she is the only one who has seen what will happen if the Hive succeeds in taking over the Earth. This makes her uniquely critical to the Council of Survivors' ultimate freedom from the Hive.
Wrench is also the only robot among the recruits. This makes her feel like an outsider. It is the camaraderie with Toshiro and Percy Jane, and her knowledge of what will happen if humans and robots don't work together, that keeps her committed to sticking with the team and their mission.
Wrench privately sees herself as the leader, and often makes quick decisions, acting on them without discussion. She has a bad temper. Her relationship with Percy Jane is like that of a precocious and slightly bratty kid sister. She tolerates Toshiro, but sees him as a n00b— which is how she views most humans.
Reminiscent of Princess Leia and R2D2.

PERCY JANE (AGE 23)
Roguish cowboy from 1876. Pledges allegiance to not much but himself. Has a way with ladies, and guns. Has no desire to be a leader, but doesn't take kindly to being led. He initially spends a lot of time figuring out how to get back to his own time, and goes along with the Council of Survivors' mission out of a sense of self-preservation. However, the longer he fights for them, the more he becomes invested in his new home. His rough exterior begins to wear away, and his good heart is revealed.
Percy is suspicious of Wrench, as he is of most technology. He eventually warms to her when she modifies his weapons and otherwise proves to be useful.
He has a hard time taking Toshiro seriously, and is irritated with his zealousness and social ineptitude. However, He gains new respect and appreciation for Toshiro after he saves Percy's life.
Reminiscent of Han Solo, Sawyer from Lost, and Doc Holliday.

Toshiro Smith (AGE 14)
Our guy from 2011. He is our lead character and the heart of the team. His mom's from Osaka and his dad's from Orange County. A total fanboy who idolizes the samurai, he taught himself aikido from watching YouTube videos. He adheres to a strict code of honor and is very idealistic, but wears a Spider-Man tee shirt under his yukata. Despite his geeky exterior, he actually has innate talent and abilities as a warrior.
Being transported to the future to fight monsters is Toshiro's dream come true. His bravery initially seems to be a symptom of inexperience, but it is really an essential part of his character. In the beginning of the series Toshiro doesn't quite internalize the gravity of the situation he is in; he is overwhelmed with the excitement of suddenly living his fantasy. He is enthusiastic, wide-eyed, and a little capricious. Through his adventures and trials he gains maturity and wisdom, but he never loses his willingness to put himself in danger to save the lives of others. Toshiro may initially seem like a Don Quixote, but he proves to be the hero he has always wished to become.
Toshiro occasionally becomes homesick and experiences some qualms about being far away from his family and friends in 2011. After protecting many people, and seeing that he truly has the makings of a great warrior, he vows to stay until the Hive is defeated and Earth is safe.
Toshiro wants to manifest the confidence that the Shaman has in him, and to lead his team. He thinks Wrench is the greatest thing ever. He is disappointed when Percy does not always live up to his expectations. As he loses some of his naïveté, his perceptions of Percy, and the world, change. Toshiro often frustrates Percy with his many cultural references that our audience will enjoy.
Reminiscent of Kikuchiyo from Seven Samurai, or any one of the Goonies.
Toshiro Smith is attending a comic convention where he finds a mysterious orb and is transported to 3000AD. He lands in what appears to be a town in the Wild West, under attack by a Drone.
A disoriented Percy Jane and Wrench join him. All three are able to work together to fight off the Drone, saving the town. They are met by a mysterious Shaman who leads them to a hidden base called The Triangle. They are introduced to the Council of Survivors.
The Shaman explains where they are, and why they have been called through time. They are shown the lights in the night that appear to be a city in the distance. They are the lights of a swarm of Drones. While Toshiro is enthusiastic about accepting their mission, Percy wants to be sent back. We learn that Wrench was created by the Hive.
Toshiro meets some of the teenagers living at Survivortown while Percy is being mollified with breakfast, and Wrench is busy modifying Percy's weapons. The local teens teach Toshiro how to ride an A.I.R.steed—a personal hovercraft shaped like the top half of a horse.
The teens tell Toshiro about the A.I.R.steed races that happen in nearby Camptown, which gets Percy's attention. Percy insists they enter a race, hoping to win the prize money. Toshiro is frustrated with Percy's self-centeredness, and wants to go out and fight the Hive. The Shaman counsels him to stick with his team, and that it would be good for him to go out and learn more about this new world.
At the race, they are up against Kill'emall the Whale and the Cetaceous Gang, mutant thugs that often harass fringe towns. Percy focuses on winning the race, while Toshiro—riding with Wrench—is busy thwarting the Cetaceous Gang in their various misdeeds.
Percy wins the race and Toshiro can barely stand his gloating. As they leave Camptown, Toshiro catches sight of Percy giving his winnings to a poor family.
The heroes help to relocate cattle from Lonesome Pigeon to an oasis up North. They meet a rancher named Vita, who is part cyborg. Percy takes a shine to her. He tries to persuade her to come back with them to the Triangle. Wrench thinks this is a great idea, as they might have something in common, but Vita hurts her feelings by referring to Wrench as "just a robot," while she herself is human. Toshiro tries to cheer Wrench up.
On the way to the oasis, they come up against the Enemy Anemone. Vita helps take out the Enemy Anemone with her own cybernetic weapons, which Wrench takes a keen interest in.
After leaving the ranchers and cattle safe at the Northern Oasis, the heroes begin the trek back to The Triangle. On their way home, a Drone records them and uploads their images to its Commander.
The trio comes to the rescue of a small mountain village that is being terrorized by a Giant Squid that is squatting in their lake.
To show their gratitude, the villagers hand over their treasure: three starbenders.
The heroes bring the starbenders back to The Triangle. The Shaman offers Percy the chance to return back to 1876. Percy casually responds that he has decided to stay in 3000 a bit longer so he can get rich, but Toshiro knows that isn't the whole truth.
Toshiro tries to spend time with Wrench, but she is busy on a secret project and won't come out of the garage where they keep Twenty-Seven. Toshiro goes and practices weapons and sparring with some of his teen friends on the base, but is interrupted when the Shaman sends for him. He is joined by Percy and Wrench on the way and they all meet in the main hall, where the Shaman introduces them to the three newest members of The Triangle, summoned by the starbenders: a monkey, a pirate, and a ninja. Awkward!
Toshiro, Percy, and Wrench—trying to avoid the new recruits—go spend some time together in the town where they first met. While goofing off, the town comes under attack by zombie cacti that try to suck the water out of any living thing they can get their needles on.
The heroes take out the cacti, but then the townsfolk direct their attention to a Drone crawling out of the ravine. The ravine is filled with Drones scrambling up the cliff face, towards town.
As the heroes are barely keeping the Drones at bay, the new recruits swoop in. Eugene the pirate, Yuki the ninja, and Monkey the monkey start kicking major butt. The RCS team is grateful, but embarrassed. The battle reaches a fever pitch, and Wrench reveals her secret project: she integrates with Twenty-Seven and goes "supersize." They form a large battle robot, and she takes out dozens of drones with a photon cannon. The two teams walk back to base, trash-talking each other. Toshiro starts to form a crush on the arrogant Yuki.
Toshiro tries to be friendly with Yuki, but she seems to have no interest in being his friend. A stranger from a fringe town shows up at The Triangle in distress. He claims his town has been taken over by an evil mayor who is enslaving the townspeople. The Shaman sends the RCS team alone to investigate, despite protests from the MPN team.
When the RCS team arrives at the town, Toshiro is distressed to find that he accidentally brought his practice bokken instead of his katana. The team discovers that the evil mayor, named Midnight, is in fact a vampire who is hypnotizing and feeding off the townspeople. Percy faces him in an old fashioned western showdown in the middle of the night. His weapons prove useless, and he is nearly beaten by Midnight, when Toshiro intervenes and stakes the vampire with his bokken.
Percy feels indebted to Toshiro, and has new respect for him. He privately vows to remain in 3000 until he can repay Toshiro.
The RCS team tries to return to The Triangle, but run into a weird energy field. They get separated, and are unable to see or hear each other.
Wrench finds a camp of refugee robots, and Toshiro finds a camp with a small family that reminds him of his own. Wrench considers staying with the robots, while Toshiro experiences great homesickness.
Percy finds himself entirely alone, which he had once enjoyed and wished for. He is surprised to realize that he doesn't want to be alone, and urgently looks for Wrench and Toshiro.
Percy manages to make his way back to the base, and begs the Shaman to come help him. The Shaman is able to temporarily rend the energy fields, and Percy finds his teammates. Wrench and Toshiro are taken aback at how happy Percy is to be reunited with them, and are flooded with comfort and a sense of camaraderie.
The Shaman tells Toshiro, now that his team is unified, he must strive to become a leader.
The RCS team is patrolling the desert, and encounters villagers who mistake them for bandits. The villagers are hostile, and attack the heroes, but Toshiro insists on defending them against the real bandits; Kill'emall the Whale and the Cetaceous Gang.
The grateful villagers reward Toshiro with mystical samurai armor saved through the ages, and name him honorary protector of their village. Toshiro resolves to stay in 3000AD to defeat the Hive.
Back at the base, Yuki seems impressed with this seemingly new Toshiro. She speaks to him more respectfully, and even apologizes to Wrench for an offense when he demands it.
The RCS team and MPN team are both sent to investigate a settlement that has been experiencing a lot of Drone activity. That night, a little girl is kidnapped by a Drone.
Wrench allows herself to be taken captive by a Drone so they can find its headquarters and save the little girl.
Toshiro and Percy leave Monkey, Eugene, and Yuki to protect the settlement so they can track the Drone that took Wrench. They use Twenty-Seven to travel, and eventually find the Drone's headquarters.
In the headquarters they discover hundreds of Drones, and in their midst, a giant Commander.
The heroes have an epic battle in which they defeat the towering Commander, terminating thousands of Drones at once.
The celebration is short-lived when the heroes discover that was just one of twelve Commanders.
The heroes return to the Triangle and vow to take down the entire Hive.
